Walailak University continues to expand academic collaboration with UPNVJ, Indonesia

Partnership for the Goals

On Tuesday, 21st December 2021, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, presided over a virtual MOU signing ceremony between Walailak University and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Indonesia at Khao Luang Chamber, Cooperative Education Building, Walailak University. The MOU ceremony is witnessed onsite by Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Acting Director of Center for International Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jeerakiat Apibunyopas, Dean of School of Management, and is online witnessed  Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard, Acting Vice President for University Council Affairs,  Asst. Prof. Dr. Monthian Setkit Associate Dean of School of Engineering and Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Urai Jaraeprapal, Dean of School of Nursing, and Assoc. Prof. Dr, Charuai Suwanbamrung, Dean representative from School of Public Health. For the UPNVJ, the ceremony honor presented via virtual platform by Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak,CPMA,CA, Rector of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, Vice Rector of General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Maria Theresa, SpKJ, MM, Vice Rector of Student Affairs and Cooperation, and seven deans from the following faculty:

The MOU was strongly initiated by the Center for International Affairs and WU four key schools namely School of Nursing, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Management and School of Public Health since 25th November 2021. The objectives of the collaboration aim to develop and strengthen more academic cooperation, especially in student, academic and administrative staff exchange, joint research on scientific and technological subjects, joint symposiums, lectures and conference, exchange of academic findings, publications, and other academic mutual educational co-operation between the two universities. The collaboration was not limited only to the four mentioned schools, but also covered to other interested schools who wish to implement any type of academic activities in the future.
