The recent webinar on 21 March 2022 on Basic AI and Machine Learning for STEM”  by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee, Director of the Center of Excellence for Ecoinformatics, School of Science, Walailak University is drew a lot of attention from international scholars.

The 21st Century is a time of rapid technological growth and social change. Technology is the tool serving us to connect and get closer to one another. However, the coronavirus situation has affected travel and is limited in many ways. But we have crossed that limit by using communication technology that can connect learning to everyone, no matter where in the world.

Basic AI and Machine Learning workshop is the first workshop of the international webinar of Walailak University, which offers practical approaches and guidance, resources, and inspirational activities for participants. The objective of the basic AI and Machine Learning workshop is to promote learning in the modern era by sharing the knowledge and expertise of outstanding scholars from Walailak University with our partner universities and interested person. Also, we would like to form and strengthen international connections and raise awareness of sustainable development goals.

In the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kirsanadej has explained the foundation of artificial intelligence and machine learning by using Wolfram and Mathematica (AI Engine) program. He stimulates the program and encourages participants to engage with the workshop. During the workshop, participants engage with each other and gain new experiences with active activities. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee had provided a lot of helpful techniques and guidance and inspired all participants to acquire knowledge as much as they can

As a higher education institute, we see that academic collaboration, learning, and working with our partners will be able to foster the transformation of education in the digital era, which will greatly benefit all parties and contribute to solving the world’s sustainable development challenges.
