International students require a Non-Immigrant Education Visa (Category “ED”) to study in Thailand. Whenever possible, applicants should apply for their student visa well in advance of departing for Thailand. Applications should be made in person at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home country.

NOTIFICATION OF STAYING OVER 90 DAYS
Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days.
Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days.
1. The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension.
2. If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht.
3. If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.

TM.30 REPORT TO IMMIGRATION WITHIN 24 HRS.
How to apply TM.30 report to immigration within 24 hrs.
According to section 38 of the 1979 Immigration Act, the University, as a house owner, has to notify the local immigration authorities within 24 hours from the arrival time of the foreigner.
