Center for International Affairs Hosts “Korean Cooking Class” Featuring Guest Instructor from KOICA

The Center for International Affairs (CIA) recently organized a Korean Cooking Class for international students, featuring Mr. Kim Dong Woong, a South Korean volunteer from KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), as the guest instructor.
In this session, students learned how to prepare Tteokbokki, a beloved Korean dish made from chewy rice cakes (Garae-tteok) stir-fried in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, accompanied by fish cakes, scallions, cabbage, and carrots. Mr. Kim provided detailed guidance starting from the preparation of the base broth and the essential ingredients of the sauce—including chili powder, honey, garlic, and salt.
The workshop offered international students a unique opportunity to cook Tteokbokki for the first time. The event was met with great enthusiasm, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange and friendship between international and Thai students.
