Walailak University Welcomes German Professor from Weisbaden Business School to Discuss Academic Collaboration

Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand – WalailakUniversity’s the Center for International Affairs has hosted Prof. Dr. Marina Gruševaja, Vice Dean of Wiesbaden Business School, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany, from September 13-21.

Prof. Marina’s visit aims to strengthen academic ties between the two universities, particularly in the field of International Management. She has held discussions with the Faculties of Public Health, Management, and Accounting and Finance to develop a joint master’s program and student exchange initiatives and student exchange for undergraduate program of International Business.

A special meeting was convened on Thursday, September 19, to delve deeper into these collaborative efforts. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimlapas, Dean of the School of Management, accompanied Prof. Marina on a research visit to Krabi on September 14-15 to explore the School’s groundbreaking research on Carbon Neutrality. This research is set to become a key component of the curriculum for exchange students from Wiesbaden Business School.

To provide Prof. Marina with a comprehensive overview of the university and the city of Nakhon Si Thammarat, the Center for International Affairs organized a campus tour and city exploration on Monday, September 16. This initiative aims to promote Walailak University as an attractive destination for international students.

On Tuesday, September 17, Prof. Marina engaged in discussions with the School of Management, focusing on student exchange programs and potential research collaborations between School members from both universities. She also delivered a special lecture to management students at Hua Tapan Meeting Room.

The Center for International Affairs remains open to facilitating meetings between Prof. Marina and other faculties interested in exploring collaborative opportunities.
