WU Harmony: Ramadan & Iftar

On March 12, 2025, the Center for International Affairs organized the “WU Harmony: Ramadan & Iftar” event. The purpose of this event was to promote understanding of Ramadan and build relationships between Thai and international students. Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony. More than 40 Thai and international students and faculty members attended the event at the prayer room of Cho Pradu Cafeteria.

The event included sharing the significance of Ramadan and personal experiences from international student Mr. Abdul Mateen from Pakistan, creating an atmosphere of learning and understanding diverse cultures.
Additionally, there was a group prayer, breaking of the fast (Iftar), and Taraweeh prayers in the evening, which helped strengthen the relationships between international and Thai students at Walailak University. This reflects Walailak University’s commitment to creating a space of understanding and unity in a truly multicultural society.
