CIA Hosts “Smart Communication for Global Service with Google Translate” Workshop to Enhance Service Excellence

CIAWU

On May 12, 2026, the Center for International Affairs (CIA) organized the workshop “Smart Communication for Global Service with Google Translate” at the CIA Conference Room. The program aimed to empower support staff—particularly housekeeping and transportation personnel—with essential communication skills for interacting with international students and visitors.

During the session, participants explored various features of Google Translate, including text, voice, and image translation, as well as real-time conversation modes. The workshop also featured service-oriented communication techniques designed to bridge language gaps and boost staff confidence. A hands-on workshop with simulated scenarios allowed participants to practice and apply their new skills effectively.

This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to elevating service quality and fostering an inclusive international atmosphere. By leveraging technology to make communication more accessible, the university continues to ensure a welcoming and professional experience for our global community.
