On July 31, the 7th President’s Meeting with International Staff was successfully held at the Phattaradharmaporn Meeting Room, WU Hospital. Over 60 international faculty members from 13 schools and colleges attended the event. In the President’s absence, Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maimsirikrod presided over the meeting.
Dr. Surin conveyed the President’s and the university’s deep appreciation for the international faculty, emphasizing their crucial role in teaching and research to drive the university towards internationalization. He highlighted the importance of international faculty in providing our students with a global perspective. Under the President’s leadership, the university has achieved a significant milestone by having the largest number of international faculty members.
Dr. Suthasinee Sangkham, Assistant to the President, extended her warm welcome and gratitude to the international faculty, expressing her commitment to supporting their endeavors in advancing the university’s internationalization. Assistant Professor Dr. Patnarin Suphakorn provided a summary of the key points discussed in the previous six President’s meetings with international staff.
During the event, international faculty members actively participated in promoting the university by sharing the university’s website link on their social media platforms, thereby increasing the institution’s visibility among their international networks. The meeting also celebrated the achievements of five international faculty members who received the International Mobility Fund for Research Collaboration, each receiving a 50,000 baht grant to conduct collaborative research with international scholars and publish high-quality Q1 research papers.
The five grant recipients also encouraged other international faculty members to apply for the International Mobility Fund for Research Collaboration.
