Walailak University Strengthens Collaboration with Nakhon Si Thammarat Immigration to Support International Students

Government visit

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, immigration officers from Nakhon Si Thammarat, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Wannachai Sukchaem and officials from the Nakhon Si Thammarat Immigration Office, conducted a routine inspection at Walailak University. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that international students and foreign lecturers residing on campus comply with Thai immigration laws and regulations, as facilitated through the Center for International Affairs (CIA).

The CIA staff warmly welcomed the inspection team, who provided full support and cooperation throughout the process. During the visit, a group of Chinese students engaged in a conversation with the immigration officers. The dialogue aimed to foster mutual understanding and exchange of perspectives, enhancing the connection between the university’s international community and local authorities.

Following the inspection, the CIA organized a campus tour for the immigration officers. This included visits to classrooms and other facilities of the university’s international programs.

The CIA’s efforts to support international students and faculty and ensure compliance with immigration regulations were evident throughout the visit. Both the university and the immigration officers expressed their mutual appreciation for the cooperation and understanding shown during the inspection.

Walailak University continues to emphasize its dedication to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for its diverse international community.
