Walailak University Welcomes Delegation from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan

NCCU

Walailak University (WU) recently hosted a delegation from National Chung Cheng University (NCCU), Taiwan, marking a significant step in their ongoing partnership. The delegation, led by Professor Guo-En Chang, Vice Dean of CCU’s College of Engineering, included Professor Chih-Yi Chiu, Associate Professor Jen-Yi Pan, and Ms. Kah Wai Yeong.

Since 2022, WU’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) has been actively collaborating with NCCU’s College of Engineering, focusing primarily on student and staff exchange programs, particularly in electrical engineering. The visit aimed to further strengthen these ties and explore potential collaborations in other disciplines.

Professor Chang expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, stating, “This visit marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between WU and NCCU, encompassing education, research, and international collaboration.” He highlighted NCCU’s international internship program, which offers students the opportunity to conduct research for two to six months while receiving scholarships to support their cultural immersion and research endeavors.

The College of Engineering at NCCU offers a diverse range of research fields, including electrical engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering, providing ample opportunities for students from various academic backgrounds. Professor Chang emphasized the welcoming and supportive research environment at NCCU, encouraging students to embrace the opportunity to experience a different culture and expand their horizons.

This visit provided valuable insights for WU students regarding international exchange opportunities and fostered a deeper understanding of the potential for future research collaborations between the two institutions.
