On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the Center for International Affairs (CIA), in collaboration with the School of Education, hosted an official welcome ceremony and Campus Tour for exchange students participating in the SEA-Teacher Student Exchange Program 2025 (Batch 11).

The program, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), aims to enhance professional skills and cross-cultural understanding. For this batch, Dong Thap University (DThU), Vietnam, has nominated five outstanding third-year Mathematics Education students to undertake their internship at Walailak University from January 5–30, 2026:

3. Mr. Ho Pham Quoc Toan

4. Mr. Le Quang Duy

5. Mr. Ha Khang

These students were selected based on their exceptional academic performance and commitment to the field of education. The welcoming ceremony served to introduce the students to Walailak University’s facilities and provide an overview of their upcoming internship. This was followed by a Campus Tour, where students visited key landmarks, including the Bota Skywalk and Sirin Museum, to familiarize themselves with the campus environment.

Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu, Head of International Affairs and Communications at DThU, noted that this exchange significantly enhances the collaborative relationship between the two institutions.
