Walailak University Welcomes Faculty and Exchange Students from West Visayas State University, Philippines, under the SEA-Teacher Project

On February 2, 2026, the Center for International Affairs (CIA), in collaboration with the School of Science, Walailak University, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Esperval Cezhar H. Cadiao, along with exchange students Ms. Nikki Ninette D. Paclibar and Mr. Jeb Melchor C. Molas from West Visayas State University, Philippines.

The visit is part of the Teaching Internship for Students through the SEA-Teacher Project (also known as the Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia). This initiative aims to provide future educators with invaluable international teaching experience and foster cultural exchange within the ASEAN region.

Program Highlights:

  • Teaching Internship: The exchange students are scheduled to undergo their teaching practicum at Thasala Prasitsuksa School from January 31 to February 24, 2026. This placement offers them a unique opportunity to apply pedagogical theories in an authentic classroom environment.

  • Orientation and Campus Tour: Following the official orientation session in the morning, the Center for International Affairs organized a guided campus tour. The delegates visited various academic facilities and landmarks to familiarize themselves with the university’s ecosystem, ensuring a smooth transition and a productive stay at Walailak University.

This collaboration underscores Walailak University’s commitment to internationalization and professional development, strengthening the academic ties between Thailand and the Philippines.
