Walailak University welcoming staff and student from Universiti Putra Malaysia

On August 6, 2025, the Center for International Affairs, in collaboration with the School of Political Science and Public Administration, hosted a welcome meeting for exchange lecturers and students from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FALCOMM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The meeting was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ratchathip Uppathampapracha, Assistant Dean for Foreign Affairs, and Lecturer Abdulroyah Panaemaelae. The UPM representatives included:

  • Lecturers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Suriawati Isa and Dr. Muhammad Faizul Bin Abd Hamid.
  • Staff: Cik Alia Amira Binti Abd Rahim and Puan Nur Layla Witra Binti Mat Arop.
  • Students: 39 students.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged information about their respective universities, curricula, and potential future collaborative activities.

Additionally, the Public Administration program discussed sending three fourth-year students to undertake a cooperative education program at FALCOMM, UPM. UPM expressed its willingness to support this initiative and will coordinate with its own International Affairs Office to discuss visa requirements and other necessary arrangements for the students.
