On August 29, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs, Walailak University, participated in the 79th anniversary celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day at the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla, Thailand. This event underscored the strong and enduring relationship between Walailak University and Indonesia.

Currently, Walailak University hosts a significant number of Indonesian undergraduate students and employs several Indonesian language instructors. Moreover, the university has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with 16 leading Indonesian universities, including State University of Surabaya, State University of Malang, and Universitas Brawijaya, to foster student and faculty exchanges as well as academic collaborations.

This collaboration reaffirms Walailak University’s commitment to building global partnerships and providing its students and faculty with opportunities to engage in diverse cultures, enhance their academic skills, and establish valuable professional networks.
