CIA Organizes Erasmus+ CBHE Information Session to Prepare Staff for Project Proposal Development

The Center for International Affairs (CIA), Walailak University, organized an online information session entitled “Understanding Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE)” on 21 October 2026, with more than 40 university staff members participating.
The session aimed to introduce participants to the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme, a European Union funding initiative that supports international cooperation and capacity development in higher education. It provided an overview of the programme, its objectives, funding opportunities, and potential areas for collaboration, helping participants understand how the programme could support their academic and institutional development initiatives.
The information session also served as a preparatory activity for the upcoming workshop, “Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE): Project Preparation and Proposal Writing,” scheduled for 30 October 2026. The workshop will focus on developing project proposals, identifying potential partners, and preparing applications for Erasmus+ CBHE funding.
Through these activities, CIA aims to strengthen the capacity of Walailak University staff to develop international collaborative projects, establish partnerships with institutions in Thailand and abroad, and pursue international funding opportunities. The initiative also reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to internationalization, academic collaboration, and enhancing its global engagement.
By equipping staff with foundational knowledge and practical preparation for proposal development, Walailak University seeks to encourage greater participation in international cooperation projects and expand opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions worldwide.
