International Affairs and School of Education Welcome Delegation from Indonesia

Interstudent

The Center for International Affairs (CIA), in collaboration with the School of Education, officially welcomed Dr. Yusup Supriyono, Head of the Department of English Education at Universitas Siliwangi, Republic of Indonesia. He was joined by representatives from Shuffah Al Jamaah Islamic Boarding School and a group of 11 high school students (who are currently undertaking studies at Prateep Sasana Ponoh Ban Tan School).

The welcoming ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Vice President. Key topics of discussion included:

  • Student Exchange: Collaboration on exchange programs.

  • Cooperative Education: Guidelines for sending students from the School of Education to perform cooperative education (internships) in Indonesia.

  • Research Collaboration: Joint research initiatives between faculty members of both institutions.

During the session, Assistant Professor Dr. Kiki Julie Anggoro presented an overview of the School of Education’s curriculum. This sparked significant interest among the visiting students, particularly regarding Thai language studies and opportunities for higher education. Notably, this group of students has already acquired basic Thai language skills and is scheduled to study in Thailand for a period of one month.

In the afternoon, the Center for International Affairs led the delegation on a tour of the university campus and the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum. Following the tour, the group proceeded to the School of Liberal Arts to discuss further academic collaboration.
