Warm New Year Gathering Brings International Students Together in a Meaningful Year-End Celebration

On 24 December 2025, the Center for International Affairs organized the Pizza Workshop and Warm New Year Gathering at Yang Tam Farm, bringing together international students for a gentle and meaningful year-end celebration.

The event was designed to foster friendship, cultural exchange, and reflection as the year comes to a close. Conducted during the national mourning period, all activities were carried out in a respectful and heartfelt manner, creating a calm and warm atmosphere for participants.

The gathering welcomed 30 international students from 11 countries, including Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, the Philippines, Bhutan, Indonesia, the United States of America, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Botswana. Through shared activities, students had the opportunity to connect across cultures and strengthen their sense of community.

Key activities of the event included the “Pizza for New Beginnings Workshop,” where students made mini pizzas together as a symbol of collaboration and fresh starts, as well as a Gentle New Year Gift Exchange, which encouraged thoughtfulness and kindness. Participants also shared their hopes and good wishes for the coming year at the Wall of Warm Wishes, adding to the reflective spirit of the event.

The program concluded with light refreshments, quiet background music, and a group photo, leaving participants with warm memories and a positive sense of togetherness. The Warm New Year Gathering served as a meaningful way to close the year, strengthen international bonds, and welcome the new year with hope and goodwill.
