Center for International Affairs Hosts “Cultural Trip at Thamon” for International StudentsðĢ

On January 19, 2025, the Center for International Affairs organized the “Cultural Trip at Thamon” event for international students at Thamon Night Market, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The event welcomed 36 international students from 10 countriesâIndonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Germany, Cambodia, India, Nigeria, Thailand, and Pakistanâalong with 5 Thai students from the School of Management.

Photo Contest: “Essence of Thamon Night Market”
Participants were invited to capture the beauty of Thamon Night Market and submit their photos for a contest on Facebook. Two awards were presented:

Tasting Local Delicacies & Exploring the Community
Participants enjoyed a unique culinary experience, Â Â Â sampling traditional dishes and exploring the vibrant market atmosphere. Popular treats included traditional Thai desserts, classic Pad Thai, and herbal drinks.
Cultural Performances and Creative Workshops
Attendees were treated to traditional southern Thai cultural performances and engaged in a hands-on workshop to create their own painted artwork.
Positive Feedback and Cultural Exchange
The event received widespread acclaim, particularly for its role in fostering cultural exchange and promoting meaningful relationships between Thai and international students. The interactive
activities and vibrant market exploration created an unforgettable experience for all participants.
