Walailak University Signs MoU with Murdoch University at Walailak Investor Day 2026

International collaboration

Walailak University has strengthened its international research collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Murdoch University, Australia, during Walailak Investor Day 2026.

The MoU was endorsed by Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, together with key representatives from both institutions. Participants included Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichitpan Rongwong, who play important roles in advancing international collaboration and research development at the university.

From Murdoch University, the MoU was supported by Prof. Dr. Anthony O’Donnell and Prof. Andrew Macrae, representing the Bioplastics Innovation Hub, a leading research unit in sustainable materials and innovation. The delegation also included Dr. Annachiara Codello, whose research contributes to the advancement of innovative and sustainable technologies.

This agreement focuses on promoting collaborative research between the two esteemed institutions, particularly in areas of shared academic and scientific interest. The partnership aims to support joint research initiatives, academic exchange, and co-supervision of postgraduate students, contributing to enhanced research capacity and international impact.

The signing of this MoU reflects Walailak University’s continued commitment to expanding its global partnerships and advancing high-impact research in collaboration with leading international institutions.
