Center for International Affairs and School of Science cooperated to host the Dengue and Zika Prevention Campaign online workshop

On Monday 2 August 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President for Global Engagement and Faculty Development, Asst.Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of Center for International Affairs and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullica Jaroensutasinee, Dean of School of Science gave welcome remark to all participants joining “Dengue and Zika Prevention Campaign” online workshop. Also, it is very honorable to have Dr. Hataichanok Siriwadhanakul, The Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division from Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) delivered a welcome speech to participants. The Dengue and Zika Prevention Campaign is hosted by Center of Excellence for Ecoinformatics, School of Science in cooperated with Center for International Affairs, Walailak University and funded by Thailand International Cooperation Agency

The Dengue and Zika Prevention Campaign is holding between 2-20 August 2021 with 47 participants from 19 countries around the world. The objectives of this workshop are to strengthen the dengue and zika prevention training program to be responsive to the climate change challenges and sustainable development, Also, to build critical surveillances who will promote/practice of dengue and zika prevention in developing countries and to monitor trends in the distribution, spread and environmental risk factors of dengue and zika over time and geographically.

This online workshop expected all the participants to able to demonstrate the understanding of dengue and zika control and prevention and able to promote technical skills for an improving community in their own country. More detail
