On 12 September 2016, President Sombat Thamrongthanyawong joined with his administration had the dinner meeting with international students and their academic advisors as well as international staff of Walailak University. Before dining, the president shared with all guests his vision to move Walailak Univerity forward and become one of the World Class University. His speech included his on-going mega-plans in renovating campus’s facilities and future plans to establish the language institute and international house. “Our students always come first anything related to their safety and welfare will be treated at the top priority” said President Sombat. His on-going projects included an increase of on-line CCTVs and grand renovation of students’ accomodation and canteen, lecture theatres and sport centre.
