Walailak University welcomes international students of Academic Year 2022 in the CIA International Student Orientation Program

Center for International Affair (CIA), Walailak University organizes a one-day orientation to welcome over 20 international students of Academic Year 2022 to Walailak University. The program arranged in a form of informal participatory activities is aimed to provide opportunities for networking, and learning about Walailak University and important information on overseas relocations. 


    On 17 August, 2022 at Khao Luang Chamber conference room, Cooperative Education Building, Walailak University, Center for International Affair (CIA), Walailak University, organizes the CIA International Student Orientation attended by international student newly accepted to various programs. The event was presided over by Ms. Jiraporn Kansuwan, CIA officer overseeing Collaborations and Rankings, on behalf of Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of Center for International Affairs. Ms.Jiraporn gave a brief welcome speech to welcome the students, together with Ms. Fareenah Jehsani, CIA officer overseeing Staff and Student Mobility. Joining the opening were also Ms. Chozin, a current PhD student from Burma, studying in the School of Public Health and Ms. Nootchanat Sukkaew, representative of WU Global, Division of Corporate Communication, Walailak University. 


    Following the welcome speech, each of the students from 9 countries including Russia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, China, Burma, Nepal, and Ethiopia shared the reasons why Walailak University is their choice for overseas higher education reflecting three aspects namely scholarship opportunities, unique academic environment, international cooperative education opportunities and chances to assimilate into Thai culture and learn Thai language.
