WU-UniMAP Mobility Program during November2-4, 2017 at WU

On November 2,2017, Dr.Pongsathorn Dechatiwongse Na Ayuthaya, Director of Center for International Affairs (CIA) gave a welcome remarks to 39 delegates from Faculty of Electrical System Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Peris (UniMAP).

Mr. Aminudin Bin Anuar, a head of delegates brought the students to visit Walailak University and participate in student activities and cultural exchange activities.
Dr. Pongsathon introduced the upcoming WUCC – Walailak University Cultural Camp which could significantly gain UniMAP students’ attention.
“Next year Walailak Cultural Camp will be held 5 days in Nakhon Si Thammarat and another 5 days in Bangkok , all expenses will be covered by us except the transportation from your country to Nakhon Si Thammarat and we expect more Malaysian students to join the camp next year.” Dr. Pongsathorn said.

Mr. Aminudin Anuar, a head of UniMAP delegates also said, “About the cultural camp next year, I think our students are very excited and look forward to joining the event”

Ms. Adeelah Ayae, an International Buddy from Walailak University student, also showed her strong willingness to take care of her new friends from UniMAP. “Our International buddy will take care of you for the whole program. If you need any help or have any problem, you can ask me or any International Buddy. We would like to take care of you all” Ms. Adeelah said.

UniMAP delegates have participated in the campus tour activity to see the sport complex, active learning classrooms, and the well-equipped library. Also participated in the city tour activity to visit Wat Phra Mahathat and the Central Islamic Council of Nakhon Si Thammarat Mosque with a special lecture on Muslim community in Thailand delivered by Mr. Abdul Razak Panaemalae, the lecturer from School of Liberal Arts.

The highlight of the program was the Loy Kratong workshop which all delegates could learn Thai culture through this wonderful festival such as singing the Thai Loy Kratong song, making and floating their own Kratong, the traditional Thai floral float at Loy Kratong festival organized at Walailak University.
