WU-UPM Reunion









 

On 3rd November 2016, Prof. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Ph.D, President of Walailak University (WU), joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Global Engagement, Dr. Pongsathorn Dechatiwongse Na Ayuthaya, Director of International Affairs, faculty staff and members of Inter Affairs Walailak warmly welcomed a group of 30 Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) delegations led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuradeng Deraseh, senior lecturer in the Faculty of Human Ecology. During a welcoming ceremony, everyone stood in silent tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej for HM the King’s devotion to human development for last 70 years. On behalf of the President, the Vice President praised long-term and strong collaborations between WU and UPM He also shared with UPM delegates the university’s plan to orgsanise an “ASEAN Bus Tour”, taking WU students to hop-on and hop-off in Thailand’s neighbor countries. After the ceremony, UPM delegates went to the Library Centre to sign the book of condolence in front of the late King’s portrait.
